A schoolgirl is part of a four-person friend group that has committed an unspoken crime. One member of the group begins to fall apart under stress, and considers turning themselves in. Wanting to keep her daily life intact, the girl scrambles to prevent this from happening.
A week later, the girl ends up being stalked by a boy. Formulating a plan with the rest of the group, she decides to use the stalker's interest in her to silence the potential betrayer before they come clean. She baits her stalker with a cry for help, then approaches the target and makes a scene. The stalker then stabs the traitor, leaving them to bleed out.
She appraises the stalker for his help, delighted with how well her plan ended up working out, comparing it to a mystery novel.
