Urapocere (うらぽしゃ, Uraposha) is a song released on December 22nd, 2021, featuring Hatsune Miku.
Background[]
Urapocere (うらぽしゃ) is track no. 8 in Watashi no Heritage. It is an album-exclusive song with no official MV, and acts as the counterpart to Adipocere.
The character featured in the album crossfade artwork is アダ (Ada), the protagonist of Adipocere.
Meaning[]
Urapocere continues where Adipocere left off, but where the previous song is mild in tone and wishing their partner well, this song outwardly expresses the singer's violent feelings and anger towards their broken relationship. The end of the song sees them celebrating their newfound freedom, at the cost of being alone.
Theories[]
Hypothermia[]
Paradoxical undressing is a phenomenon found in the late stages of hypothermia in which a person begins removing clothing, effectively leading to death in most cases. Similarly, at the end of Adipocere's MV, Ada frantically removes all of her layers except for her base dress. She is depicted in the same state of undress in the crossfade artwork. The background color is a cool blue -- contrasting the warm red associated with Adipocere -- and there is falling snow, which is not seen at any point in the former song's MV. Combined with Ada's visible shadows and noticeable tear streaks, this has led some to believe she ends up succumbing to hypothermia and freezing to death. Supporting this, the song ends with a droning beep resembling the sound of a heart monitor flatlining.
Other Partner's Perspective[]
A fan-made full MV for Urapocere was posted to YouTube on August 21st, 2023. It does not follow Ada, but rather her faceless partner shown in several scenes of Adipocere's MV. According to the pinned comment by the creator, the song was interpreted as his disdainful response to her.
"Ura (うら)" in the title can be translated as "opposite side" or "other side". Furthermore, Iyowa has previously written several songs from a male perspective of their partner (despite a girl being the MV's focal point). Having him be the lead also results in 15 unique characters for every song in Watashi no Heritage, instead of two songs sharing the same main character, which at the time of the album's release had never occurred in any other instance.
The creator refers to him as ウラくん (Ura-kun) in their community posts.

Japanese | English |
Please, may God have mercy! |
Because you, at a loss, strike people down. |
Please, go to Hell by all means! |
For “casting pearls before swine” is certainly well said. |
Don’t come near me, |
Or else I'll be sure |
You fall to your knees and blurt out an apology |
For being born. |
I won’t forget that face with no make-up you’ve got, |
Who stands above others just to do the lecturing. |
You monkey who sits in a blood-stained chair, |
Alas, just like that, forever and ever, |
Imagine my corpse |
And blindly believe you’ve accomplished something. |
Please, may God have mercy! |
Because you, caught stealing, strike people down. |
Please, go to Hell by all means! |
Preaching about what is correct, |
What a truly unsightly, pseudo-puppet you are! |
Just like a government that |
Greedily devours souls up, |
Or like a wriggling slave |
| That isn't allowed to live nor die— farewell! |
The crimson coming into view is a decaying hangnail. |
Don’t smirk at me, |
I detest your excusing face. |
Go ridicule somebody, just like you did that time. |
Don’t underestimate me, |
I'll stab you in the throat |
And gouge so deep |
It never goes away. |
Lightning won't stop striking from the scar |
Where you nibbled me out of pleasure. |
Live on without being able to erase those three words! |
Alas, just like that, forever and ever, |
Go stomp someone’s eyes out |
And blindly believe you’ve made something widely known. |
You knew we’d never understand each other |
For as long as we live, right? |
I’ll undo the chains of hatred and walk upon |
This never-ending road of solitude. |
I’m free— yes, I’ve obtained freedom! |
Never will anybody else’s name |
Appear in my new life starting here. |
And you— you'd better mount that platform |
So you can look enviously at me! |
